The properties of RoTrac® Capillary Pore Membranes depend on the specific requirements of the target application. Regardless of the application, RoTrac® Membranes are always distinguishable by their precise, cylindrical pores with an accurate and reproducible size distribution. Therfore they prove to be superior to membranes with fibril or sponge structure.

The production process makes the difference:

Our membranes are manufactured by means of a special ion-beam-technology. A high-strength polyester film is bombarded with inert gas ions. In a subsequent etching process the pores are formed. Based on this two-step procedure, pore size and pore density can be controlled independently.
